While the general community is very well served by the Mount Victoria Community Association, unlike other villages and towns in the Blue Mountains, Mount Victoria did not have a chamber of commerce or a dedicated group specifically focusing on businesses and their needs.

This has led to the development of an association in Mount Victoria whose aim is to represents all businesses – SMEs, home-based businesses, sole traders and not-for-profit organisations.

Another great meeting at the Mount Victoria Business Association.  This week we were pleased to welcome Trish Doyle MP, our state member of Parliament, as well as Holly Davies, Acting Regional Director, West Regional Integration from Transport for NSW.  We had a great meeting highlighting the transport and traffic issues the business and wider community are having – and it was wonderful to be able to speak directly to those able to help deliver change.  Trish is a strong supporter of the Mount Victoria business community and we very much thank her for ongoing support. – June 2025

PURPOSE

The purpose of MVBA is to provide a forum to promote and support the interests of all businesses either located in or that provide services in Mount Victoria.

OBJECTIVES
Advocate as one voice on issues that impact businesses in Mount Victoria.
Develop agreed positions on behalf of businesses on issues that impact Mount Victoria.
Represent Mount Victoria businesses in communications to politicians; councillors; Commonwealth, State and local government and other relevant organisations.
Promote Mount Victoria as a destination.
Provide a forum for businesses to collaborate, network and exchange ideas.
Work with other organisations to help address issues that impact Mount Victoria more generally.

In 2022, the association worked with the AusIndustry Entrepreneur’s Programme.

The Entrepreneur’s Programme learning events deliver targeted and tailored support to Australian businesses.

The Mount Victoria Business Association was established in June 2022.
